Why we love it: Living in Harlem there is a severe lack of adequate bars and restaurants but this place gives you the best of everything. Authentic Mexican food, amazing drinks, fun atmosphere and a DJ all at a cheap affordable price, even for a broke college student. The crowd is typically college students and occasionally some locals. After a long night of drinking and dancing, mornings after going to Picantes result in waking up, thankfully back in your bed, with your shoes still on, half dressed, a bag of half eaten McDonalds, and a plastic blow up fish next to you. This has been coined "Pica Style" by the regulars. Best of all when you open your wallet the next day their is still money in it. This place can easily become your new "go-to" spot with its great food, decent size, cheap good drinks, and DJs that will keep you dancing all night.
What we recommend: Steak Quesadillas- $5 for a very large filling one
Lime Margaritas (Very strong yet still delicious) - $5-8 per cup, depending on what specials they have that night, or $35 for a large pitcher
Sangria- Same pricing as Margaritas
